...are the words said at the end of every show. twenty one pilots is the two man band, tyler joseph and josh dun. formed in 2009, twenty one pilots began as a trio, tyler joseph on vocals + instrumentals, chris salih on drums, and nick thomas on bass. in 2011, josh dun went on to replace salih and thomas, becoming the drummer that's loved today. since 2009, twenty one pilots has made 8 amazing albums, and has even won 45 awards! (as of 2026)
i was first introduced to twenty one pilots in 2016 (i was six i know crazy) by my sister and i fell in love immediately. i remember constantly watching the music videos on my xbox and just loving it. i wasn't too involved with the fandom until 2021, but i still loved their music ever since i was interoduced to them.
ever since that fateful day in 2016, it was like i found music that i truly loved. sure i liked what was on the radio, but listening to them felt different. their music communicated to my brain in a way i had never knew was possible. but not only their music, but the band themselves. they've always been huge advocates for mental health, and i really love that about them. when i was struggling mentally in 2021 their music and messages kept me going. they have also always so involved with the fandom, whether it's simply posting on social media or interacting with the crowd at shows, they truly do love their fans.
first off, twenty one pilots has SUCH a wide variety of music. i'd say nearly each album has a different genre. even if you don't like all of their music, there's a chance you might find something from them you like! they also have a lore storyline they've developed over the years! they finished the storyline off in 2025 (at least we think so), but it's still awesome to go through and discover the alternate reality they created. the storyline is essentially a reality based off of tyler's mental health struggles. if the lore sounds interesting to you, check out the twenty one pilots wiki!
